Skagit County will close the Marblemount bridge on Cascade River Road overnight from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday for five weeks starting August 24. The closures are to replace the bridge deck during installation, which requires no traffic. Work will continue during daytime hours but the road will reopen daily and on weekends.
The overnight closures are weather dependent and must occur in summer for epoxy curing. The project is expected to finish by October 2026. The Jordan Creek temporary bridge construction on Rockport Cascade Road will begin July 27 and take until late September, affecting nearby residents with increased truck traffic.
