Mount Vernon School District (MVSD) announced that all elementary and middle school students will receive universal school supplies funded by a grant, with materials delivered directly to schools. The district stated this initiative aims to reduce back-to-school costs and ensure students start the year prepared.

The district emphasized that students will only need to bring backpacks to school, as essential classroom materials will be provided. MVSD noted that school teams organized supplies over the summer to have them ready for the start of the academic year. This effort aligns with the district's Strategic Plan to foster student belonging and engagement.
