πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Skagit County Public Health announced proposed changes to its Schedule of Charges on September 10, 2026, which would take effect January 1, 2027. The changes include fee increases for select Environmental Health services such as Retail Food Safety, On-Site Sewage, Drinking Water, and miscellaneous Environmental Health services with hourly rates. The county stated the proposed changes are intended to more closely align fees with the cost of providing services and support the long-term sustainability of these programs. Community engagement sessions are scheduled for September 21 and 22, with a public hearing before the Skagit County Board of Health on October 5.
