Starting Aug. 4, multiple highway closures will impact Skagit Valley commuters. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced lane closures on State Route 522, Interstate 90, State Route 526, and other routes for maintenance and utility work.
SR 522 will close the right lane of northbound traffic from 8 p.m. Aug. 5 to 3 a.m. Aug. 6. I-90 will have two-lane closures in both directions from 8 p.m. Aug. 4 to 3 a.m. Aug. 5. SR 526 will close the eastbound right lane from 9 p.m. Aug. 6 to 5 a.m. Aug. 7. SR 211 will have a full lane closure both directions on July 31 from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with delays expected for about 20 minutes.
WSDOT notes that flaggers and pilot cars will be present during some closures. Drivers should plan for delays and check WSDOTβs website for real-time updates. The agency has provided specific dates and times for all closures, with most scheduled to end by Aug. 7.
