Skagit Valley Road Closures and Detours Updated for Sept. 4-10

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

The SR 536 Skagit River Bridge will remain closed to eastbound traffic until early 2027 for repainting, with detours required for eastbound vehicles using SR 20 and I-5. Westbound traffic, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles will continue to use the bridge.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 9, traffic on SR 536 will alternate with flaggers from Bradshaw Road to Beaver Marsh Road for utility work. Fish passage construction on SR 9 will also require alternating traffic near Kalloch Road through Sept. 24, and I-5 will have single-lane closures near Alger/Lake Samish Road on Sept. 9-10.
