Starting Monday, Aug. 17, both directions of SR 169 will close between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake for 35 days to remove a fish barrier. Signed detours will guide drivers, and local access remains open north and south of the closure.
SR 161 will close from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, between 28th Avenue South and Military Road South for fish-passable culvert installation. Detours will be in place 24 hours a day. Other closures include SR 211 on Aug. 7, US 101 on Aug. 6 and 10, and US 12 through Sept. 11 for slope work.
WSDOT advises drivers to plan for delays, expect up to 20 minutes of waiting time, and follow flaggers or pilot cars in work zones. All closures are part of ongoing infrastructure projects to improve road safety and environmental conditions.
